Successful Completion of “Roadmap to Career in Software Quality Assurance” Organized by GUCC

We are pleased to inform you that the Green University Computer Club (GUCC) successfully organized a seminar on “Roadmap to Career in Software Quality Assurance” on May 23, 2024, in A-302 (Seminar Hall). It was an honor to have the presence of the chief guest, special guests, session chair, esteemed faculty members, and over 120 students. The seminar commenced at 9:30 AM with the arrival of guests from QA Harbor and our Distinguished Chief Guest, Prof. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Honorable Pro Vice-Chancellor of GUB and Session chair, Dr. Muhammad Aminur Rahaman, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Dept. of CSE, GUB. Also in attendance were Prof. Dr. Md. Ahsan Habib, SMIEEE, Chair of IEEE CS BDC, Director of CCE, , and faculty members of the Dept of CSE GUB. Prof. Dr. Md. Ahsan Habib, SMIEEE, Chair of IEEE CS BDC, Director of CCE, warmly welcomed all attendees, highlighting the seminar's significance and expressing gratitude to the organizers and participants. Following the welcome address, a quick quiz was conducted by QA Harbor, and an introduction to the session was provided. Md. Masudur Rahaman, Managing Director of QA Harbor, shared his experiences in the software industry, particularly his work and learnings in Japan. This was followed by a speech from Prof. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor of GUB who appreciated the organizers' efforts and addressed the attendees. The keynote speaker, Kazi Safaet Mahmud Auvi, General Manager (Solution Engineering Product & Technology Division) at bKash, delivered a career-oriented session on the importance and workings of Software Quality Assurance. Additionally, Ashikur Rahman, Jr. QA Engineer, shared his experiences in the field. After a 10-minute break, during which participants provided feedback, Farzam Aidelkhani, Business Development Manager, discussed career tips and the essentials of a professional QA resume. The session concluded with a Q&A segment and a final quick quiz. Winners of the quiz received gifts from QA Harbor. The closing remarks were delivered by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aminur Rahaman, Chairperson of the Dept. of CSE, GUB, who encouraged all attendees. The seminar on “Roadmap to Career in Software Quality Assurance” was a resounding success, bringing together distinguished guests, faculty, and students to explore career opportunities in software quality assurance and the software industry, including careers in Japan.
